Power Factor Correction(PFC) design tools

This is a support tool for designing circuit values for IC peripheral components in power factor correction (PFC) circuits using our power factor correction ICs MH2501SC/MH2511SC.
Supports the design of multi-stage interleaved PFC circuits up to three stages.
By entering conditions such as input/output power specifications, the circuit value calculation results for IC peripheral components and reference circuit diagrams are automatically generated.

Please make use of this when designing PFC circuits using the MH series.


How to use the design tools

1: Enter the input/output conditions.

Enter conditions such as the input voltage range, output voltage, output current, and information about the choke coil to be used.
In addition, enter whether multi-stage interleaving operation is used, and the number of circuit stages (1 to 3).
2: The calculation results will be displayed.

Based on the input and output conditions entered, the calculation results for the main switching device (MOSFET) VDS and ID (peak), the number of turns of the choke coil, the output diodes, and other parameters are displayed.The MOSFET and output diode can be selected based on these calculation results.
3: A reference circuit diagram will be generated.

Based on the calculation results, a reference circuit diagram containing the winding specifications for the choke coil and the component values for the power factor correction (PFC) circuit are automatically generated.

    With respect to the Design Tools which you downloaded, you may not sell it or lend it, or lease it out to someone else, or otherwise use it for profit, and you may not distribute, transmit (including public transmission), or otherwise provide it to someone else.
  2.  The Design Tools that we offer (hereinafter referred to as "Licensed Design Tools") is in an Excel format. We do not offer any in other formats, which do not appear on our website.
  3. The Licensed Design Tools are intended for preliminary design studies using our products, and do not guarantee the stability and reliability of circuit operation.
      Always be sure to make a judgment after evaluating the actual machine with the actual product.
  4.  It cannot be used for purposes other than those described in the preceding paragraph.
  5.  Company has the copyright for the Licensed Design Tools which is downloaded from our website.
  6.  You may not alter or adapt the entirety or any part of the Licensed Design tool, or take any other action which fails to maintain the identity of the Licensed Design tool.
  7.  Use of the Licensed Design Tools does not provide guarantee for, or grant license for, intellectual property rights and other rights of Company or any third party.
  8.  Company does not provide any guarantee (including with regard to functional operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information, and guarantee of non-infringement of a third party's rights), expressly or impliedly, for the Licensed Design Tools.
  9.  Company is not responsible for any damage arising from the Licensed Design Tools (including indirect damages, consequential damages, special damages, incidental damages, lost profits, opportunity loss, and damages due to taking leave of absence from work).
  10. Company has no responsibility over whether or not the Licensed Design Tools will work properly on all computer systems. Furthermore, Company is not responsible for maintenance and support.
