Shindengen Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has launched the MCZ5606SC/MCZ5607SC High-side/Low-side driver ICs.
In recent years there has been an increase in demand for stick-type vacuum cleaners, power tools, motorized bicycles, and other battery-equipped products and greater demand for downsizing, lighter weights, and energy saving for these products.
There is also demand for downsizing and lighter weight for the inverter circuits which are essential for reducing energy consumption in the three-phase brushless motors and other devices used in these products.
The number of air conditioners in operation worldwide continues to grow and in order to reduce energy consumption for these there has also been a rush of conversions of the fan motors in outdoor units to inverter types.
These products are High-side/Low-side driver ICs with 2 inputs and 2 outputs and built-in 622V withstand voltage elements.
They can directly drive MOSFETs and IGBTs used in inverter circuits and other applications, and can thereby reduce the number of components used in drive circuits to contribute to device downsizing and lighter weights.
In addition, the products also feature a simultaneous ON prevention function and under voltage lockout (UVLO) function which makes it possible to achieve extremely safe switching element control.
